Strips vs. stitches: which heals facial cuts better?

NCT ID NCT06550999

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether using adhesive strips (like Steri-Strips) instead of traditional stitches leads to better results for small, simple cuts on the face. About 62 adults with facial cuts smaller than 2.5 cm will be randomly assigned to get either strips or stitches. The goal is to see which method causes less pain, leaves a nicer scar, and makes patients happier.
