Stick-On bandage vs. stitches: which leaves a better scar on your face?
NCT ID NCT06550999
Summary
This study aims to see if using special adhesive strips (like Steri-Strips) to close small, simple cuts on the face leads to better patient experiences and less noticeable scars compared to traditional stitches. Researchers will randomly assign 62 adult patients in the emergency room to have their cut closed with either strips or stitches. They will then measure pain, satisfaction, and scar appearance about two months later to see which method people prefer and which looks better.
