Scientists hunt for genetic clues to predict which ADHD meds work best

NCT ID NCT06221358

Summary

This study aims to find genetic patterns that can predict how well children and teens with ADHD will respond to common stimulant medications like Concerta. Researchers will follow 400 participants aged 6-24 in Western Canada who are starting this type of medication. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day help doctors choose the most effective medication with fewer side effects based on a person's genetics.
