First seen Mar 01, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding adenosine to the standard heart protection fluid used during bypass surgery can reduce heart muscle damage. Researchers will measure heart function with ultrasound, check blood markers of heart injury, and track the need for heart-supporting drugs after surgery.
