New hope to avoid hysterectomy for women with adenomyosis
NCT ID NCT07195305
Summary
This study aims to see if two less invasive procedures can control heavy menstrual bleeding and pain from adenomyosis as effectively as a hysterectomy. It will involve 230 women who are already candidates for a hysterectomy. Researchers will compare radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and uterine artery embolization (UAE) to the standard surgery, tracking symptoms, recovery, and quality of life for two years.
