Doctors map the hidden landscape of a painful uterine condition
NCT ID NCT07237932
Summary
This study aims to improve how doctors understand and classify adenomyosis, a condition causing heavy periods and pelvic pain. Researchers will compare ultrasound and MRI images with tissue samples taken after a planned hysterectomy to see how the disease looks on scans relates to its actual appearance and a patient's symptoms. The goal is to create a clearer picture of the disease to help guide future care, but it does not test a new treatment.
