First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at 32 children with a first episode of ADEM, a rare brain and spinal cord inflammation that often follows a virus. Researchers will check early MRI scans and spinal fluid samples to see if they can predict which children will recover fully and which might have lasting problems. The goal is to help doctors identify high-risk kids sooner and tailor their care.
