Summary
This study was not a treatment trial. Its purpose was to screen and identify nearly 7,000 adults who might be eligible for future research studies on drug addiction and its effects on the brain. Participants underwent interviews, medical exams, and provided samples to create a pool of potential volunteers. No treatment or direct medical benefit was provided during this screening process.
