Summary
This study tested whether adding pioglitazone or dapagliflozin to two common diabetes drugs (alogliptin and metformin) helps lower blood sugar more effectively. It involved 133 adults with type 2 diabetes whose blood sugar was not well controlled. The main goal was to see if one combination was not worse than the other after 26 weeks.
