New radiation approach aims to hit cancer harder, spare healthy tissue

Summary

This study tests whether Adaptive Radiation Therapy (ART) can better target aggressive pancreatic cancer cells while protecting nearby healthy tissue. About 16 people with locally advanced, inoperable pancreatic cancer will receive 5 radiation treatments over 2 weeks. The main goal is to see if this approach reduces serious side effects within 3 months.
