New radiation technique aims to zap pancreatic tumors while sparing healthy tissue

NCT ID NCT06984562

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether a more precise form of radiation therapy is safe and effective for people with advanced pancreatic cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. The goal is to see if this 'adaptive' radiation can better target the aggressive cancer cells while protecting the healthy organs nearby, potentially reducing side effects. Participants will receive five radiation treatments over two weeks and provide blood and tissue samples to help researchers understand the treatment's impact.
