First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether a gentle electrical stimulation device (AcuTENS) can help reduce pain and anxiety during a prostate biopsy. About 53 men having their first biopsy will receive either the active device or a placebo, along with standard pain relief. The goal is to see if this simple, non-invasive method can make the procedure more comfortable.
