ICU kidney danger: new study tracks who gets hurt

NCT ID NCT05970952

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at 174 adults in the intensive care unit (ICU) to find out how often acute kidney injury happens and what factors make it more likely. Researchers tracked patients who stayed in the ICU for at least 48 hours, excluding those with kidney problems at the start. The goal was to gather information, not to test a treatment.
