Zap away surgery pain? Acupuncture-Inspired device tested

NCT ID NCT06744166

Summary

This study tested if a special type of electrical nerve stimulation, inspired by wrist-ankle acupuncture theory, could help reduce pain after lung surgery. Researchers compared the real stimulation to a fake (sham) treatment in 156 patients who had a specific type of minimally invasive lung cancer surgery. The goal was to see if this method could be a helpful new option for managing pain after surgery.
