Zap the pain: new device aims to halve discomfort for women in IVF
NCT ID NCT06910540
Summary
This study is testing if a special, non-needle electrical stimulation device can reduce pain by 50% for women undergoing egg retrieval as part of IVF. 144 women will be randomly assigned to use either the real device or a fake one during the procedure to see which works better. The main goal is to see if this method can significantly ease pain and stress without using extra medication.
