Tiny needles, calmer nerves? acupuncture tested for surgery anxiety
NCT ID NCT07278284
Summary
This study is testing whether a type of acupuncture can help reduce anxiety in adults before they have ear surgery. Researchers will compare real press needle acupuncture to a fake (sham) version to see if it lowers patients' anxiety levels and affects their heart rate patterns. The study involves 32 adults who are scheduled for specific ear operations and feel anxious beforehand.
