Needles vs. aches: can acupuncture ease Seniors' back pain?

NCT ID NCT04982315

Summary

This study tested whether acupuncture could help older adults (age 65+) manage chronic low back pain and improve their daily function. Researchers compared a standard 3-month acupuncture course and an extended 6-month course against usual medical care alone in over 800 participants. The goal was to see if acupuncture reduced pain and disability more effectively than standard treatments.
