Needles vs. night sweats: ancient practice tested for modern cancer side effect
NCT ID NCT07335224
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether acupuncture is a practical and helpful way to reduce hot flashes in men receiving hormone therapy for prostate cancer. 24 men will be randomly assigned to start acupuncture right away or after a waiting period, while all receive standard lifestyle advice. The main goal is to see if the acupuncture program is easy to run and acceptable to patients, while also checking if it might help ease their symptoms.
