Needles vs. pain: can ancient practice ease modern surgery recovery?
NCT ID NCT07238504
Summary
This study aims to see if acupuncture can help control pain and improve recovery for people after hemorrhoid removal surgery. Researchers will compare real acupuncture treatments to a fake, look-alike procedure over the first five days after surgery. The main goal is to find out if acupuncture lowers the worst pain experienced and reduces the need for painkillers.
