Needles vs. numbness: can ancient practice ease modern chemo pain?

NCT ID NCT06769061

Summary

This study is testing whether acupuncture can help reduce nerve pain and numbness (called peripheral neuropathy) that is a common side effect of chemotherapy. It will involve 75 people who have completed treatment for gynecological cancers. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive real acupuncture, fake (sham) acupuncture, or no extra treatment to see if the real acupuncture improves their symptoms and quality of life.
