Ancient needles tested for modern back pain relief
NCT ID NCT03420404
Summary
This study is testing whether adding Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncture to standard rheumatology care helps people with axial spondyloarthritis, a type of inflammatory spinal arthritis, manage their pain better. It involves 140 adults in Singapore whose pain hasn't responded well to common anti-inflammatory pills. The main goal is to see if the combined care model reduces spinal pain more than standard care alone after six weeks.
