Zap to stop surgical reflux?
NCT ID NCT07338448
Summary
This study aims to see if a mild electrical stimulation at specific acupoints can reduce stomach acid reflux during surgery. It will involve 116 adults having surgery under general anesthesia using an i-gel breathing device. Researchers will compare patients who receive the stimulation to those who do not, measuring acid levels and reflux episodes.
