Smart alerts may help surgeons protect kidneys during operations

Summary
This study tested whether smart alerts from a monitoring system help doctors follow a blood pressure management plan during major surgery. The goal was to see if this could reduce kidney injury after surgery. 296 adults having elective noncardiac surgery took part. The study compared results to past cases to see if the alerts improved care.
