Could your fitness tracker predict your health better than a Doctor's test?

NCT ID NCT04101630

Summary

This study is testing whether daily activity data from wearable trackers can better predict health outcomes for people with pulmonary hypertension than the standard six-minute walk test. Researchers will follow 230 participants for up to four years, having them wear activity monitors for 12-week periods each year while also collecting quality-of-life surveys. The goal is to understand if everyday movement patterns provide more useful information about disease progression than clinic-based measurements.
