Researchers develop score to track patient recovery progress

NCT ID NCT03116204

Summary

This study tested a new scoring system called the SOFMER Activity Scale (SAS) to measure how well patients can perform daily physical and thinking tasks while in follow-up care or rehabilitation. Researchers enrolled 152 hospitalized patients to see if the score was accurate, reliable, and could detect changes over time. The goal was to create a simple, standard tool to help healthcare teams better understand a patient's needs and recovery.
