Study challenges 6-Week recovery rule for bladder surgery
NCT ID NCT04817839
Summary
This study aimed to find the best recovery time after a common surgery for stress urinary incontinence. Researchers compared whether 3 weeks or 6 weeks of activity restrictions (like avoiding heavy lifting) led to better patient outcomes and satisfaction. Over 200 women who had a bladder sling procedure were randomly assigned to follow one of the two recovery timelines.
