Could watchful waiting replace surgery for some older breast cancer patients?
NCT ID NCT07262138
Summary
This study is testing whether it's safe to closely monitor small, slow-growing breast cancers found on mammograms in women aged 70 and older, instead of starting treatment right away. Participants will have regular imaging scans to check for any tumor growth rather than undergoing surgery, radiation, or medication. The main goal is to see how many women's cancers show significant growth within one year of this monitoring approach.
