First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if giving activated charcoal by mouth helps the body get rid of certain blood thinners (rivaroxaban, apixaban) more quickly when a surgery or procedure needs to be done. It planned to enroll 140 adults who were waiting for a procedure because of their blood thinner. However, the study was withdrawn before any patients joined, so no results are available.
