NCT ID NCT06484621
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests whether a type of counseling called acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) can help people who had weight-loss surgery stay physically active and avoid regaining weight. About 164 adults who had surgery 6-20 months ago will join either ACT or an education program for 12 months. Researchers will measure their activity, weight, and motivation over 18 months to see which approach works better.
