New hope for CLL patients who failed First-Line treatment

NCT ID NCT02717611

Summary

This study tested a drug called ACP-196 (acalabrutinib) for adults with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) that had returned or stopped responding to treatment. It specifically enrolled 60 patients who had previously tried but could not tolerate a similar drug called ibrutinib due to side effects. The main goal was to see if ACP-196 could control the cancer and how long patients lived without their disease getting worse.
