First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested a single dose of the experimental drug acoziborole in 35 children aged 1 to 14 with sleeping sickness (g-HAT). The goal was to see how the drug works in the body and if it is safe and effective. Researchers hope this oral treatment could replace older, more complex therapies and help prevent the disease from coming back in remote areas.
