New knee surgery technique aims for faster recovery

NCT ID NCT07346326

Summary

This study is comparing two different sources of a patient's own tendon used to repair a torn ACL knee ligament. Surgeons will use either a tendon from the hamstring or one from the side of the ankle (peroneus longus). The goal is to see if the ankle tendon works as well for recovery and causes fewer problems at the site where it's taken from. The study will follow 64 adults for three months after their surgery.
