Can older adults bounce back from knee surgery as well as younger patients?
NCT ID NCT07387939
Summary
This study aims to see if ACL reconstruction surgery works as well for patients over 50 as it does for younger patients. It will compare the knee function, stability, and ability to return to sports in 56 people—half over 50 and half under 40—who have already had the surgery. The goal is to provide better guidance on whether this common surgery is a good option for active older adults.
