First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding a special brace (InternalBrace) to a donated Achilles tendon graft improves outcomes for people needing a second ACL repair. Thirty-two adults with a torn ACL graft and knee instability were randomly assigned to receive the graft with or without the extra brace. Researchers measured knee function, symptoms, and quality of life over 13 months to see if the brace made a difference.
