Mind over muscle: can therapy boost ACL comebacks?
NCT ID NCT06991192
Summary
This study is testing if adding psychological support to standard physical therapy helps young athletes recover better from ACL knee surgery. It compares two groups: one where therapists are trained to provide extra emotional support, and another with standard care. Both groups do the same exercises, but researchers will measure if the added mental support improves confidence to return to sports and overall knee function over 6 months.
