New rehab plan aims to stop arthritis after knee surgery
NCT ID NCT03626857
Summary
This study tested if adding two special treatments to standard physical therapy helps people recover better after ACL knee surgery. The treatments were high-intensity muscle stimulation and specific strengthening exercises. Researchers wanted to see if this stronger rehab could build more muscle, improve how the knee moves, and protect the knee's cartilage to prevent arthritis later on.
