New scale could help ACL patients return to sport safely
NCT ID NCT06829849
First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether a simple scale (SHD-LESS) can detect differences in how people land after ACL reconstruction surgery. 60 patients who had ACL surgery at least 6 months ago performed a hop test while researchers scored their landing quality. The goal was to see if the scale could identify landing asymmetry and link it to knee strength, function, and mental readiness to return to sports.
