First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study compares two common tendon grafts used in ACL reconstruction surgery: the semitendinosus (hamstring) graft and the quadriceps graft. Researchers want to see which one leads to better knee stability and function after surgery. About 200 people with ACL tears who plan to return to sports will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two grafts and will be followed for at least 6 months.
