First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study compares two different tendon grafts used to repair a torn ACL in the knee: one from the hamstring and one from a leg muscle called peroneus longus. Sixty adults with an isolated ACL tear will be randomly assigned to receive one of the grafts during arthroscopic surgery. The goal is to see which graft leads to better knee function and stability at 6 weeks and 3 months after surgery, using a standard knee score.
