ACL surgery myth busted? new study tests old assumption
NCT ID NCT06996145
First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested whether the center of the ACL's natural attachment points is the best spot for surgical reconstruction. Researchers used 4D CT scans to measure how the distance between these points changes as the knee bends in 30 healthy volunteers. The goal is to gather data to help develop software that guides surgeons toward more precise, isometric tunnel placement.
