Shockwaves vs. blood injections: new battle for achilles heel pain

NCT ID NCT07483320

Summary

This study tests whether adding shockwave therapy, platelet-rich plasma injections, or both to a standard exercise program works better for chronic Achilles tendon pain. Active adults with pain lasting over 3 months will try one of four treatment combinations and be followed for six months. Researchers will measure changes in pain, function, and tendon structure to find the most effective approach.
