First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether a slow-release form of mexiletine (PR) works as well as the standard immediate-release form (IR) for easing muscle stiffness in people with non-dystrophic myotonias. About 24 adults will take both versions in a random order to compare safety and side effects. The goal is to find a more convenient treatment option.
