Trial seeks best fix for Kids' rare swallowing disorder
NCT ID NCT07167355
Summary
This study aims to find out which of two procedures works better for children with achalasia cardia, a rare disorder that makes swallowing difficult. It will compare balloon dilation, which stretches the esophagus, with a newer endoscopic surgery called POEM. The trial will enroll 70 children aged 3-18 to see which treatment provides longer-lasting relief with fewer complications.
