Vinegar Test's 'White Time' could reveal hidden cancer

NCT ID NCT01618643

Summary

This study aimed to improve cancer detection in people with Barrett's esophagus, a condition that increases cancer risk. Doctors tested if timing how long a vinegar spray makes tissue turn white could help tell harmless changes apart from dangerous pre-cancer or cancer. They studied 197 patients during their standard check-ups to see if this timing method could make diagnoses more accurate.
