New combo pill eases Post-Surgery pain in clinical trial

NCT ID NCT05868122

First seen May 10, 2026 ยท Last updated May 10, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether a fixed-dose combination of acetaminophen and naproxen sodium reduces pain better than a placebo after bunionectomy (foot surgery). 143 adults took multiple doses over 48 hours and rated their pain intensity. The goal was to see if the combo pill provides meaningful pain relief without the risks of stronger opioids.
