Summary
This study tests whether a handheld device called AccuVein helps nurses insert an IV on the first try in patients with hard-to-find veins. About 100 adults who are difficult to infuse will be randomly assigned to have their IV placed with or without the device. The main goal is to see if the device improves success on the first attempt and reduces patient pain.
