Summary
This study looked at people with chest pain who might have heart disease. It compared a cheap, low-radiation calcium scan to an expensive PET scan to see if the cheap scan could safely guide treatment and save money. The study was stopped early, but it aimed to find out if skipping the expensive scan when the calcium score is low is safe and cost-effective.
