Dental veneers made with moulding technique put to the test

NCT ID NCT07180732

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This study tested how accurately a new injection moulding technique can create direct composite veneers that match a digital smile design. Ten people who wanted a smile makeover took part. Researchers compared the final veneers to the original digital plan to see how close they matched.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If the technique proves accurate, it could offer a more predictable and efficient way to place cosmetic dental veneers.

What could go wrong

This is a very small, completed study with only 10 participants. Results may not apply to all patients or dental situations, and the technique still requires skill to execute.
