First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests a shorter, more targeted radiation therapy (accelerated partial breast irradiation) given after breast-conserving surgery in people with early-stage breast cancer. The goal is to see if this approach controls cancer recurrence and reduces side effects compared to standard whole-breast radiation. About 537 low-risk participants are being followed for local tumor control and survival outcomes.
