Glow-in-the-dark dye could help surgeons spot cancer during head and neck surgery
NCT ID NCT07279116
First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This early-phase trial tests a fluorescent dye called ABY-029 that may help surgeons see head and neck cancer tumors more clearly during surgery. About 24 adults with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma will receive a tiny amount of the dye before their operation. Researchers will check safety and find the best dose to make tumors glow, so surgeons can remove them more precisely.
